Car Battery Replacement FAQs
Answers to every question we hear about mobile car battery replacement — from pricing and warranty through AGM coding to roadside emergencies.
Pricing & Booking
Car battery replacement starts from £140 fitted. Final pricing depends on vehicle make and model, battery specification, distance and availability.
Our typical arrival time is between 30–60 minutes depending on location and traffic conditions.
Card, contactless, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer — on the spot when the job is finished.
Battery Lifespan & Maintenance
Standard batteries typically last 4–6 years; AGM batteries on healthy start-stop vehicles often reach 5–7 years. Short trips and cold winters shorten battery life.
Yes — drive 30+ minutes once a week, avoid leaving accessories on with the engine off, and use a smart maintenance charger if you only do short urban trips.
Not necessarily. A one-off flat can come from leaving lights on or a long period off the road. If it keeps happening, the battery is usually at the end of its life and replacement is the safe option.
AGM, EFB & Start-Stop
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) is the premium start-stop technology for high-electrical-demand vehicles like BMW, Audi and Mercedes. EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) is a less expensive start-stop technology used on entry-level cars like Ford Fiesta and VW Polo. They are NOT interchangeable.
The most common cause is a tired or incorrectly registered battery. The BMS disables start-stop to protect a weakened battery.
Yes — every AGM/EFB replacement includes on-site BMS/ECU coding for BMW, Audi, Mercedes, VW, Ford, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Renault and more.
